TSE has a wide range of knowledge and experience in the field of marine electrical propulsion. We have been at the helm of state-of-the-art projects on various vessels and can intervene whatever the size of the project. Our engineers were amongst the first in the world to be involved with the ‘pods’ propulsion systems and as such are uniquely placed to advise and carry out projects on these systems.

 Whatever the project, our expertise and first hand knowledge will assure its efficient and exemplary conclusion. We are experienced in propulsion design, testing, commissioning and maintenance. We can be present for the construction, testing, commissioning and operating phases of the project.

TSE is often asked to perform work on Power Generators (Diesel or Electric), HV Switchboards, propulsion systems, induction motors, harmonic filters, and bow thrusters. We have organised and carried out major electrical pole replacements on various vessels. We often intervene during a dry dock in order to analyse maintenance needs and carry out necessary work. TSE is now able to offer video surveillance and video intervention technology for engineering and electrical systems. Once installed this allows companies the possibility of repairing faults, analysing operations and updating procedures through a video link, avoiding the expense and delay of sending an engineer to resolve a problem. Our engineers have a vast bank of knowledge and experience with all marine projects. Some of our projects have involved planning, designing, budgeting for, installing and commissioning such systems as fire doors, lifts, boilers, crew areas, fire protection systems (hi-fog) and swimming pool and jacuzzi treatment and filtration systems on board cruise ships. We have been responsible for electrical systems for major cruise lines and cargo ships and our services have been needed not only for initial construction and during sea trials, but for the inaugural period and for repair and updates during dry docks.

TSE have been responsible for planning and implementing water treatment projects both on board vessels and on shore. Our shore side projects have involved in depth analysis of current processes and electrical consumption and assessments of costs and project achievability. We are keen to advise and carry out operating and efficiency improvements in all our projects, together with providing manpower planning and operator training. The scope of our project management services include ongoing advice, training and analysis in order to assist with the planning of future maintenance and improvements.
